ÖTILLÖ SWIMRUN Mallorca

ÖTILLÖ is thrilled to offer the Swimrun Community a new event on one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic islands.

ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Mallorca joins the 2027 World Series calendar, opening the new season on April 3, 2027.

Set in the stunning northern part of the island, the course showcases Mallorca’s wild beauty and rich heritage. It starts in the historic town of Alcúdia, known for its medieval walls and vibrant coastal life, before winding along rugged coastlines, through pine forests, rocky trails, and crystal-clear waters – all beneath the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains and sweeping views over turquoise bays.

Racing on Mallorca means rugged coastlines, crystal-clear waters, ancient olive groves, and sun-drenched trails. With dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and the scent of pine in the air, this race is as challenging as it is breathtaking.

Early April was chosen deliberately. Mallorca is quick and easy to reach via the well-connected Palma de Mallorca Airport, and the island’s early-spring weather is already mild and stable. Daytime temperatures typically sit between 18–20°C, nights are still cool, and there are already plenty of hours of sunshine, making both the swim and run legs a pleasure to race.

Staffan Björklund, ÖTILLÖ European Sports Director: “We are thrilled to announce Mallorca as the newest destination on the ÖTILLÖ World Series circuit for 2027. This is a course we have dreamed about for a long time, and it delivers everything Swimrun should be.

The route on the Alcúdia peninsula moves between paved roads and completely untouched mountain terrain, including areas normally closed to the public – giving our athletes access to a side of Mallorca very few people ever see. And the swims are something else: crystal-clear Mediterranean water with towering cliffs rising straight up beside you, one of the most spectacular settings we’ve ever raced in. It is raw, it is demanding, and it is beautiful.

Mallorca combines the rugged spirit of ÖTILLÖ with a completely new landscape, and we can’t wait to welcome Swimrunners from around the world to the start line.“

ÖTILLÖ Mallorca will offer three different race distances, all equally challenging depending on your personal abilities:

Total distance: 31,290m | Swim: 5,340m | Run: 25,960m | Elevation: 918m

Sprint
Total distance: 18,410m | Swim: 1,950m | Run: 16,460m | Elevation: 221m

Experience
Total distance: 7,100m | Swim: 1,400m | Run: 5,700m | Elevation: 19m

Around Alcúdia

Alcúdia is the perfect base for outdoor adventure. The surrounding area is a paradise for endurance athletes, with scenic coastal trails, rolling hills, and open water waiting to be explored. Run along ancient paths, bike through the Tramuntana foothills, or swim in the calm, turquoise waters of Alcúdia Bay. The old town offers a well-earned break with its cafés and local flair, while nearby beaches and nature reserves provide ideal spots for recovery.

ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Camp Mallorca

The week before the race, ÖTILLÖ will be hosting a variety of Swimrun and social activities, among them a Swimrun Camp to help athletes kick-start their season – running from March 28 to April 4.

The swimming will be coached by Anna-Karin Lundin, former Olympic swimmer and founder of Simcoachen (@simcoachen).
