TBD
We have cut-offs in our events to make sure that we can have a safe race, these are put in place so that everyone has a possibility to finish before dark and without jeopardizing the safety of others by stretching the safety organization too much. Please respect this and the people enforcing them.
In the beginning of August it is the height of the summer on Åland. Water temperatures are around 17 degrees C.
Like everywhere we can have wind, rain and un-seasonably cold weather. Make sure you bring clothes to handle this. The water on the West coast is salty.
In the water there are jelly fish. The white ones are harmless and the red ones sting. The sting is not very strong compared to the Mediterreanean jelly fish.
We welcome all spectators, friends and families to participate in our events.
The races are great to follow as a spectator. Sprint and Experience courses are very easily accessible from land by car. By a day pass and ride around to cheer the racers on.
NOTE: you may not assist any teams unless if it is a medical emergency. Any other assistance will result in disqualification of the team.
You can also rent a boat with a driver to take you around the World Series course. That is easiest done through Norrö Holiday Village
Good spectator spots:
On land: See the interactive map.
If you have your own boat:
The swims: You are not allowed to be closer than 50 meter to the teams. Respect our safety boats. You may not assist any teams unless if it is a medical emergency.
