Registration opening

Registration for ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Mackinac Island is now open. The event will take place on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, on the stunning Great Lakes. Free from cars and chain hotels, the island is known for its world-famous fudge, distinctive shops, diverse dining and nightlife, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, historic landmarks, 70 miles of hiking trails, and a pristine shoreline with crystal-clear blue waters.

Why Mackinac Island?

Mackinac Island is a one-of-a-kind destination offering unique attractions, delicious cuisine, charming shops, and stunning views. But it’s much more than that. With cars banned for over a century, this is a place where horses take the lead, and life moves at a relaxed pace. The streets echo with the gentle clip-clop of carriage wheels, and the only sound you’ll hear is the soft ring of a bicycle bell. Steeped in history, Mackinac Island is home to ancient forts and timeless rock formations, creating an atmosphere where it feels like time has stood still. Here, you can savor the sweet fragrance of lilacs and indulge in the simple pleasure of world-famous fudge.

Getting to Mackinac Island

If you’re flying into Michigan with Mackinac Island as your final destination, there are several airports that can take you to Mackinaw City. From there, it’s just a short 16-minute ferry ride to Mackinac Island.
