Overview
The purpose of the ÖTILLÖ Covid-19 Safety Management Plan Is to make sure we can host safe events for our racers, for our staff and for the local communities. This plan is a general plan and might be amended for a specific race location.
General
We will follow all local laws and regulations.
All racers and all staff must follow these rules.
All racers and staff must follow the local regulations in regard to keeping safe distance and wearing face masks in public areas or on public transportation. We must all take responsibility in not spreading the virus.
Before traveling to the race destination
- Make sure you know what the local regulations are concerning your country or region of origin
- If someone close to you or someone you have spent time with recently is sick. Do NOT travel.
- If you in the last 10 days prior to the race have been sick or if you have symptoms of Covid-19 do NOT travel no matter how mild they are.
At the race destination
- Avoid physical contact with other persons.
- Keep safe distance to other people.
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
Registration for the races
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- Only for racers. Keep your family and friends away from the registration areas.
- Avoid physical contact with other persons.
- ÖTILLÖ will extend the registration periods.
- Do not come at the very end of the registration periods, plan to come early so that you can avoid waiting in line.
- ÖTILLÖ will spread out the points of registration and create separated lines where everyone can wait within safe distance from each other.
- All staff and all racers must keep social distance and follow the local regulations in regards to wearing a face mask, vaccine passes or other.
- Hand disinfectant is available at the registration at a minimum of 6 points.
- After you have registered, leave or spread out outside so as to not make a crowd.
Race briefings and prize givings
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- The race briefings are online
- Prize givings will either not be held or be will be held in an area where there is enough space for everyone to be in a safe distance from each other. Depending on the local regulations.
- Hand disinfectant is available at a minimum of 6 points.
- Only for racers.
- Not mandatory.
Transport to the start
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- If there is an organized transport to the start you must follow the guidance of the ÖTILLÖ Staff. There will be enough space for everyone.
- Only for racers.
- Keep physical distance.
- Wear a face mask.
Toilets by the start and finish
- Follow the local regulations in regards to wearing a face mask and disposable gloves (gloves will be available on site).
- Throw away the disposable gloves in the garbage can outside.
- Hand disinfectant available.
Start box
- The start boxes will be big enough for everyone to fit with lots of space.
- Spread out and keep safe distance.
- Avoid physical contact.
- Fast racers in the front.
- Wear a face mask if that is what the local regulations require.
- Throw your face mask IN the garbage cans provided as you exit the start box.
During the races
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- Avoid physical contact.
- Keep safe distance from other people
- You do NOT have to wear a face mask.
Energy stations
- Follow the instructions of the Staff.
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- Energy stations will have extra space to make sure that safe distance is maintained.
- All drinks will be pre-poured in disposable cups of recycled material.
- Racers must throw their cups in the garbage bins.
- Energy will be provided in a safe format.
- Staff working the energy stations will follow the local regulations in regards to wearing face masks and disposable gloves.
- We STRONGLY SUGGEST that the racers bring their own gels carried in a soft flask.
Finish line
- Staff will be following local regulations in regards to wearing face masks and disposable gloves.
- Maintain safe distance from others.
- Racers might have to collect their own medal if so required.
- The racers have to move out of the finish line area.
Post-race food
- If you feel any symptoms of being sick at all, self- isolate immediately.
- Only for racers.
- The times for post- race food will be extended (start earlier).
- Follow the instructions by the caterer.
- Maintain safe distance from others.
- If required, wear a face mask when collecting your food.
- Throw away your garbage in the garbage cans.
- The catering staff must follow the local regulations in regards to wearing face masks and disposable gloves.
After the race
- If you become sick within a week from the race weekend. Please inform the ÖTILLÖ Race Organization ASAP so we can inform all other racers and staff to self-isolate.
