HAVE WE SEEN THE 2021 WOMEN SWIMRUN WORLD CHAMPIONS?

WOMENS CATEGORY AT ÖTILLÖ 2021

The superb Women World Champions Desirée Andersson and Fanny Kuhn will not be racing in this years World Championship.

Fanny is recovering from a stress fracture in her hip and is building her running back up but it also means that 65 km of tough trail running in the Stockholm Archipelago is not in the cards on September 6th.

It will be sad to not watch these two super athletes race in unison. Those who have seen it know what we mean. The style, the strength and the constant optimizing of speed is impressive to watch.

Desirée has decided to try another path and will this weekend try to qualify to the 2021 World Champs in Mixed. Together with Victor Dahl they will chase the qualification at ÖTILLÖ World Series Engadin. A race they won together last year.

Fanny – we wish you a speedy recovery. Hurry slowly. We look forward to seeing you fly at an ÖTILLÖ race in the future.

Desirée – We wish you the best of luck in Engadin and also at the World Champs in a new category!

HAVE WE SEEN THE NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS ALREADY?

At ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö we had a very strong field in the Womens category. We have two strong runner up teams from the 2019 World Champs where ARK Addnature has a team member change. The question is have we seen the coming 2021 World Champions compete already?

One thing is for sure, during the next two months it will be very exciting trying to foresee the future. In all three race categories of this years edition of ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship.

Check out the film and see if you can spot the future World Champions.
