Why Mallorca?
Mallorca is an ideal location for an ÖTILLÖ Swimrun because the early April date offers optimal conditions: the island is quick and easy to reach by plane via the well-connected Palma airport, while early spring weather is already mild and stable. Daytime temperatures usually sit in a comfortable range of around 18–20 °C, nights are still cool, and there are already many hours of sunshine, making both run and swim segments pleasant to complete.
This race, set in the stunning northern part of Mallorca, showcases the island’s wild beauty and rich heritage. The course starts in the historic town of Alcúdia, known for its medieval walls and vibrant coastal life. From there, the route winds along rugged coastlines, through pine forests, rocky trails, and crystal-clear waters. With the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains and views over the turquoise bays, Mallorca offers a spectacular and sun-drenched Swimrun adventure that’s both challenging and unforgettable.
Getting to Mallorca
The town of Alcúdia is located on the north coast of Mallorca, around 60 km from Palma de Mallorca Airport. Mallorca’s well-developed infrastructure makes it easy to explore the island—by rental car, bike, bus, or even boat.
