Race Details
This Midwest island is affectionately known as Disneyland for Swimrunners. You won’t see a single car on the island but plenty of bikes and horse carriages that take tourists around. Lake Huron is crispy and pristine and shallow enough to stand up if rest or recalibration is needed – perfect for the Swimrun curious first-timer. Runs start from the shoreline before disappearing into a network of well-maintained but seldom-traveled singletrack trails. On the backside of the island you’ll have a sweeping view of the mighty Mackinac Bridge connecting Michigan’s lower and upper peninsulas.
