In 2006, Michael Lemmel and Mats Skott invented the first ÖTILLÖ race, which lead to the development of a new sport driven by a very uniquely passionate community. Over the years, they have built ÖTILLÖ and the sport of Swimrun to what it is today. We will always be grateful for what they have done, our doors will always be open to them, and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours!

ÖTILLÖ Swimrun will continue to organize races around the world and make every effort to grow the sport and its community. We look into the future of our sport with great enthusiasm and hope to see many of you at the various events this season, be it on Utö in June, in Engadin in July, in Gothenburg in August, at ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship in September, or in Cannes in October and possibly Malta in November.

Onwards and upwards,
The ÖTILLÖ Organization
