A NEW STEP

After 15 years of putting on Swimrun races we have now opened up for SOLO racers in the World Series distance. This is to open up the sport to new persons and to continue to grow the sport.

The SOLO racers will not get Ranking points and they will not get World Series Standing points.

Only teams will be able to qualify to ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship which is a team only event true to the origins of our sport.

We welcome all racers to our events.

The first event available for SOLO in the World Series distance is at ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Engadin on July 11th.

I think that not having a qualification for an individual category is a delay and hinders the advancement of Swimrun as a sport. So the news is good, but it is still incomplete on the Swimrun path. We already know that Swimrun was born as a team, but by not giving an individual classification, Swimrun will not lose its essence.
