Racer information

Here you will find everything you need to know as a racer at ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö 2018. Please read this thoroughly as the information is important for your experience before and during the race.

ÖTILLÖ and swimrun is a sport where you have to adapt to nature. This means checking weather forecasts, water temperatures, the type of terrain you will be running in, checking if there are currents or tides on the swims and so on. It is your own responsibility to check all this and be well prepared.

Plan your day together with your team mate, calculate your estimated times on all sections so you know if you need to bring more energy or drink between 2 energy stations on a long run as an example.

Train with the gear you are planning to race with, so you dress accordingly and are used to a towing line if you will use one.

We give you a lot of info about the race course on our web page please study it carefully. You will find maps, times and distances, GPX files, schedule where energy stations are located and what is served at each one.

Come prepared and enjoy the fantastic sport of swimrun! Good luck and have fun!
