ÖTILLÖ Sprint Utö 2016 – Race report
Thank you all for a great experience! Last year we had 8 teams that started, this year 47. It was so much fun to hear the laughter and see the smiles of all participants. Some went very fast and some were completely new to the sport. The Youngest participant- Tova at 16 years of age raced with her father – Jesper Andersson Mars (Original 4) and proved they have some great genes in the family as they finished third in mixed!
A new generation of Swimrunners from Utö are on the rise.
Andre Hook & Wolfgang Grohe/ Team Campz from Germany showed their strength and speed by blitzing the course and proving yet again that they are the number#1 German team on the Swimrun Scene.
The Sprint was personally my favourite event of the weekend as young and old, new and seasoned all came together and shared a great experience together. Thank you for making my day!
We believe that the Sprint distance is part of the future of Swimrun and that we will have many more participants on this great course in the future.
Thank you for your trust and see you next year!
Spread the Word!
