ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship
Register – The 7/24 Concept
The ÖTILLÖ 7/24 concept
The teams, based on the same two individuals, that finish 5 ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series races + 2 ÖTILLÖ merit races in a rolling 24-month period automatically qualify to the following ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Championship.
The spots will be distributed until 8 days after ÖTILLÖ Engadin every year.
Each team is responsible to report to [email protected] when they have finished the seven races with the names of the two participants, the name of the race, the date and the finishing time.
When the team has reported to the ÖTILLÖ organisation they are put on a list in chronological order.
If you have reported that you are elegible for a spot, you have to take it. If a team member is injured after that date you are allowed to change one team member with written consent from the other or you can defer the spot one year with a doctors certificate. This only is applicable for the 7/24 concept.
When you have participated in ÖTILLÖ, The Wwimrun World Championship your race count re-starts at zero.
The 7/24 concept will end with ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2020. The last application date for 7/24 spots will be July 15, 2020.
The spots in the 7/24 concept will be moved to Ranking spots instead. We have seen that most teams in the 7/24 concept would have a good chance to get a spot via Ranking instead.
This does therefore not change anything for the teams already planning to follow the 7/24 concept. Just continue and apply via Ranking at the end of the year instead.
The first race to count for the 7/24 concept is ÖTILLÖ 1000 Lakes 2017, this race counts as two as a bonus.
