Utö is where the whole swimrun movement started and where the late night bet which became ÖTILLÖ was made. It is an island in the southern part of the Stockholm archipelago almost 90 minutes from Stockholm. This is Swimrun heaven!
This race location is like a fairy tale. To race in the Swiss mountains of the Engadin valley in the summer is spectacular; hanging glaciers, emerald-colored lakes, big mountains, winding trails and Swiss cows. This race location launched the international swimrun movement in 2014.
Gothenburg is Sweden’s second largest city. It is on the Swedish West coast, on the frontside. The city sprawls into the beautiful archipelago with thousands of granite islands and skerries. We will build on a very strong local swimrun tradition and showcase a unique place. Get ready for races out of the ordinary.
ÖTILLÖ Sprint Final15K is a swimrunners dream. The racecourse makes the best of what Utö and the Stockholm Archipelago has to offer. You will do some short sections of the legendary ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship course. Technical trail running, beautiful views, forests, cliffs and lots of swims. This is a challenging and intense racecourse that will make you smile all the way to the end.
