We are delighted to inform you about our merit races for 2023. ÖTILLÖ merit races are a selection of top events when it comes to safety, racer experience, race quality, and race management. At each merit event you will collect ranking points for the ÖTILLÖ ranking system.

The new Tier System

We are happy to present you a new TIER SYSTEM for all merit races. Depending on the tier of the race, you can either just collect ranking points, get ranking points and free entries for ÖTILLÖ World Series races, or get ranking points and direct entries to ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship.

Three Tiers

  • Tier 1: Races, where you can qualify directly to ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship (first teams men, women and mixed).
  • Tier 2: Races, where the winners in each category get a free start in a World Series race of choice.
  • Tier 3: Races, where you collect ranking points.

Can Solo Short Course races contribute to qualifying for the World Championship?
I did the short courses at Otillo Endagin (Team), Odyssey Orcas Island (Solo) and will do Odyssey Casco Bay (Solo) and Rockman (Solo) this year.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your message. To qualify for ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship, you need to start as a team in a World Series (long) race.
We wish you good luck at all your scheduled competitions and hope to see you again soon at our races.
      Your ÖTILLÖ Team
