2021 ÖTILLÖ SEASON UPDATE
Dear Swimrunners and friends!
The Covid-19 situation around the world continues to affect our lives. Even though it looks like we are heading out of the tunnel it seems to take a little longer than we hoped. We have therefore been forced to make some decisions about our 2021 race calendar.
If we all continue to make an effort to reduce the spread of Covid and continue to be a force of inspiration for others we will all be back racing soon enough.
Please read the below information carefully and please follow the steps asked if you are affected by these decisions.

2021 Race calendar changes
ÖTILLÖ SWIMRUN MALTA – Postponed to November 2021
On April 17 & 18 we were going to launch the 2021 season on Malta. This will not be possible due to the Covid-19 situation. The race has been moved to November 6 – 7, 2021.
All racers that have have spot will be automatically moved to the new dates. If you want a refund we can offer 75% in return. Please email info@otilloswimrun.com before June 1st if you need a refund. After that we will not be able to make refunds.
Registration for the new dates will open before April 1st.
ÖTILLÖ SWIMRUN ISLES OF SCILLY – Postponed to 2022
On June 19 – 20 we were to host the Isles of Scilly weekend. Due to the Covid-19 situation and the uncertainty of international travel to the UK we are forced to postpone this years event. The 2022 race date will be June 4 -5.
All racers that have have spot will be automatically moved to the new dates. If you want a refund we can offer 75% in return. Please email info@otilloswimrun.com before June 1st if you need a refund. After that we will not be able to make refunds.
Registration for the new dates will open before April 1st.
Note: If you want to take part of the 2022 ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Isles of Scilly we advise you to book your accommodation as soon as possible. Accommodation on the Isles of Scilly is limited and there is an increase of early domestic bookings due to Covid-19. However, there is always a possibility of camping on the Isles. We look forward to next summer as this location is unique!
THE OTHER RACES
At the moment we believe we will be able to host all other events as scheduled. Registration to ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Catalina will open before April 1st.
2021 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION SPOTS FROM MALTA & ISLES OF SCILLY
The direct qualification spots (6 + 6) for ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2021 from the Malta and the Isles of Scilly World Series races will be distributed as follows:
- 1 spot will be added to each category (men, women, mixed) at Utö, Engadin and Gothenburg World Series races. In total 9 spots.
- 3 spots will be evenly distributed between the three categories in the Ranking application.
