About ÖTILLÖ Sprint Engadin
We want to share the emotions of swimrun with everyone. The purpose of the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Sprints is to create easy, interesting and fun courses as an introduction to the sport of swimrun.
These races are for those who want a new challenge, for those who want to try swimrun and also for those who want to race fast. Our sprint courses will always be between 12 – 15 km long with many short and varied sections and around 15% of swimming. There are no cut-offs as we want this to be the door in to the world of swimrun for you.
The sprint races are easy and you do not have to go fast. If you have never participated in a swimrun race before, this will be a perfect start for you. This concept also works for the experienced racer who wants to do a fast race for pace training as we have designed the course to work for everyone. As the races are the day before or the day after our ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series events it is also a way for you to be part of the whole swimrun weekend!
The winners of each category will get a free entry to an ÖTILLÖ Qualifier of choice for the following year.
The ÖTILLÖ Sprint Engadin is the ideal race to enjoy the spirit and the challenge of swimrun in beautiful surroundings.
The ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Sprint Engadin will be in Silvaplana and follow some sections of the World Series event before looping back to the finish. A total distance of 17 km, with a minimum of 5 runs and 4 swims. No swim will be longer than 700 metres and all swims are protected. The total vertical gain is just shy of 200 metres. The runs are beautiful; some on trail, some uphill and some with a lot of people around.
